BBA Entrance Eligibility: 5 Important Highlights

Students aspiring for management jobs or jobs in the corporate world must start with an undergraduate course, BBA, B.com, B.Tech and other courses are much of theoretical knowledge but BBA emphasizes on practical knowledge of the student so that he/she knows how to deal and succeed in the corporate world. For a purely career oriented course like BBA, most of the universities involves a small entrance test. The test is there to check the fitness of the student for the course. If you want to get admission to a reputed and ranked university or institute, you have to secure a good mark and more particularly a good rank in the entrance exam. But before going further you should know about BBA exam eligibility, syllabus and about BBA study material.
  • Before moving for the preparation of the BBA exam you should be aware about the BBA entrance eligibility. The BBA entrance eligibility criteria required for applying to BBA course in India are as follows: The candidates applying for BBA entrance exam should have passes Class 12th. Minimum age for applying BBA should be 17 years while maximum age limit is 22 years. This is the minimum required qualification for BBA entrance eligibility.

BBA Entrance Syllabus & BBA Study Material

  • When you are eligible then you should move towards BBA entrance syllabus. The BBA entrance test has four sections namely – English Language or English Proficiency, Numerical Ability or Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning or Reasoning Ability and General Knowledge or General Awareness.
For almost all BBA entrance exams the exam pattern is more or less the same.

The BBA entrance syllabus details of the four sections are provided below:

  • English Language or English Proficiency
English Language section checks the English ability of a student. If one has to perform well then he has to have a decent command on English language. Candidate is advised to must work on his vocabulary while preparing for the entrance exam. Most of the questions in this section are based on vocabulary. So vocabs cannot be ignored. Therefore you have to choose BBA study material wisely.
  • Numerical Abilities or Quantitative Aptitude
Numerical abilities, as the name suggests this section is for Mathematics. This section comprises of Maths questions from class VI to X.  Candidate having good command in basics can easily crack this section. However, if you have not studied Mathematics in class XII then no need to worry you can still do well in this section. Numerical Abilities section can be time taking so you have to practice well before going for the exam. Practising well will help you to score better in the BBA entrance exams.
  • Logical reasoning or Reasoning Ability
Logical reasoning or Reasoning ability is a section that will examine and test your aptitude for business studies. This section is here in your BBA entrance syllabus not to test your text book knowledge but your general aptitude knowledge. If you have to score well in this section then you have to prepare well. For this you should practice reasoning ability questions from previous year papers. Choose good quality BBA study material and practice more is the only way to score good in entrance test.
  • General Knowledge or General Awareness
It is important that an aspirant should have knowledge of what is happening around the world. It becomes more important when you are appearing for an entrance exam. BBA entrance exam checks your general awareness as well as business knowledge. Make it a habit to read daily newspaper or follow news channels to stay updated.
